we visited during a cruise that stopped in flam. this pub is only a few steps away from the cruise port. the decor is fantastic, with fur sausage, consecrated, candles and an amazing central feature kamin. there is a very Nordic experience as...Result as this is a beer pub, there are some great selection of beer. they can buy a board with 5 different flavors beer on it, and this seemed to be the most popular drink that was bought with us. the prices are on the expensive side, but not in agreement with the trips for alcohol in norway in general. this place is definitely worth a visit.

on recommendation one of the employees at the fretheim hotel we have reserved a table for an amazingly delicious evening. the pig dog of my wife smashed the bone (no knife needed! and my havamal burger (Venison-Rind, with ripe local goat...cheese, truffle-Aioli and marinated red wobble) was as good as any bar burger I had ever had! and while she loves her own bier brauin, she also do mequavitad). if they even think about going here, for the love of odin, make a reservation! especially if all cruise ships are in the harbour!
what a beautiful place to drink super beer on the ground. a great reception. handy for cruise ship visitors, only 100 meters from the terminal. I didn't taste it.
as others who previously commented, in the did the owner who greets them at the door, put them on a waiting list', although there are several free tables on top available) and insisted that they can wait on the bar, and have a DRINK/BEER while we...get them a table- is a crowded! easy to force them a beer or drink down when all they really want is a warm meal. the downstiare were not cozy, but cold, no heating and no fireplace illuminated, who wants to sit in it and have a cold beer?! anyway, they rise up and waiter are on to upload their glass of wine! super annoying. eating is over price against the other great restaurant in flam in the fretheim hotel), and simply fundamentally in a super cold restaurant everything they do not want in cold flame. I ate so much better in the fretheim hotel restuarant. and better service. also the waiters prefer their attention to tables that drink a lot, and make them wait! overall, eating is okay, nothing wow.
While in Flam, we made reservations here. It's really one of the few places you can eat to be honest. However, I must say their food was very good and not to mention the beer. They have a nice restaurant primarily on the second floor...of the purpose made hut. We did the food and beer pairing meal which was about 5 or 6 courses and more than filled us up. The beer was above average. Afterwards, we went downstairs and had several beers in the bar. They have a wide variety before retiring to the hotel room.
Amazing place, amazing food and waiters. We had Ragnarok spare ribs and Njord cod fish, excelent! We had the first order of the night and the food came in just 9 minutes
Winter dining options in town were limited but the food here was no compromise. The food was delicious and of course the beer was outstanding.
