the meat dish was very good tasteful sauce and beautifully grilled meat. but the meeres were in the average or something strange. I could see that their chefs really try to make 'new'imaginative taste, but it seemed that this worked well (they were not terrible, but failed before I felt), but the service was great and I had a pleasant evening meal. I agree that this place restaurant No.1 in voss!
we ordered a buffet and there was hardly any food and those they had were cold and hard as a rock and overall terrible. the one thing I can say is that the personal was really nice and his work really good.
if they are interested in wine, then this is the place! the restaurant elysee serves classic kitchen. for the 6 cursor meal with wine package! who are very exciting and they have no less than three sommelier! norwegens and the world's best weinkeller in 2020 says something. here they find hidden treasures at a very affordable price. Eating is not what they focus, but it is good and well thought out. the bark fillet is fat and delicate from local meat. that I had eaten with cat- and dehydrated olives was very good. the wee looks good with the pass. I always come by when I'm in voss. the hotel is old and reverent with a beautiful bar and a beautiful old worn small 60-year view of times with low leathers, carpeted floors and funkyen lamps. the rooms are tired, but do the work. beautiful view of my room in direction water and mountain.
I have eaten at Restaurant Elyssee a few times and I have to admit that it is first of all a great experience as they have an awesome wine cellar. This combined with Coravin, gives you access to try lots of great wine by the glass when you are having your dinner.
