I liked the place. it has a huge space and a very beautiful pedestrain road. the view is wonderful and they can also different parts of the city. beautiful place

amazing place and a “must see” place in trondheim. beautiful with a walk there and see the history, but also the whole city trondheim.
We walked around the fortress, it's really small but kinda nice. You can park 1h for free (parking is near the entrance). If you're in Trondheim and have time left, I would totally recommend to visit it. You have a really nice view over trondheim!
Beautiful outdoor restaurant in Festning. The place is located at one of the most spectacular views in Trondheim. I love homemade vanilla ice cream and great customer service! I would recommend this place for a cup of coffee, soft drinks, meals, waffles, cakes or snacks. It is also a historic place!
We had the Julebord from our sports association here. The food was very good. I had Pinnekjøtt of very good quality, the meat was a lot, actually too much meat for the amount of potato and ram. The people who had ribbed and vegetarian food were also happy. The price was approx. 360 NOK without drinking except tab water naturally, so was quite expensive. The location itself was very nice, lots of candlelight, so it was very cozy, the service was also beautiful. Unfortuantely, we had to be at 10 o'clock already (it was on a weekday though). As a negative point the space itself was. We were 22 people who were fine for room size, but the acoustics were terrible. It was very loud, sometimes I couldn't understand my table neighbors. 4 stars for the location itself, environment and very good food and service, minus one for the price and the loud space.
Great place with a warm atmosphere. A bit unconveinient when you get there, but it's worth it. Good food with well paired wine/beer. Pleasant staff and clean toilets. Amazing landscape in summer.
