Farther away from Italy or just generally a nice restaurant visit you really don 't come, do you? Popped in after reading the good reviews and made us happy. In a relatively quiet restaurant, we are greeted with a sort of welcome, and despite the decent capacity, we are placed on an unremarkable table between the bar and the kitchen. Asked if it was possible to sit outside in the sun, and got a hesitant yes in response. The outdoor area was quite dirty, fair enough, but drying the worn wax cloths a little would not have cost the world. Well, it 's summer, it 's sunny, and we 're ready for both beer and pasta. The waiter did not quite share this opinion, and needed a good 20 minutes to even ask if we wanted something to drink. It would then take another 15 minutes to collect two lagers. We order two pasta dishes for the tidy sum of NOK 260 each, and are genuinely looking forward to it. That joy should turn out to be a bit of a letdown, because 40 minutes later we are both pasta and beer less. After 50 minutes of waiting (we had now actually decided to leave , a new waitress finally appears with food, but she doesn 't seem very interested in asking if we need refills on drinks. Let go, now it 's time to eat. The carbonara has been joined by two huge (fried? pieces of Foccaia, which have been bathed in butter for a couple of hours. The overcooked pasta is topped with half fried pieces of bacon and a whole bunch of basil is thrown on top. It all reminds of a slightly hacked version of Toro 's version of the same classic. Samboer has got a kind of variant of bolognese that brings back memories then of the student days and its long series of meals with spaghetti with ketchup. No waiter comes to check the stand. The price of this meal (had to give up half, even after the roommate had managed to steal some salt and pepper was stiff as F*, and we left the shop as hungry as we came. So my recommendation if you are in Kristiansand is to say a calm Arrivederci to this shop. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
