Known for their amazing steaks, steakers is a family-friendly restaurant with a lot of variation in their menu. In addition to the excellent food, the location and views capture the mood of a North Norwegian restaurant. The service is very good, meals are served relatively quickly and the staff is polite and professional. One of the best and most prestigious restaurants in Tromsø, highly recommended.
Great place to go if you choose a real steak with good choice. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff.
The steak was really well cooked and the sauce was delicious. You get to choose your steak and on the map that the waiter away, so there is no mistake as you want it cooked
Delicious meat at a beautiful location right at the harbour of Tromsø. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Large selection of meats, however no local specialties, but a selection of fish instead. Regular salad buffet and regular selection of hot sides. Only one pick of warm vegetables.
We went here because of recommendations in our travel guide as well as a >4 rating on google. Long story short: Go to Skarven Biffhuset instead. Same price but SO much better in food quality. Now the details: The bread was served with packaged butter. This seems kinda cheap. But the bread was okay. We ordered our food via paper strips where we specified how we like the meat. I ordered a medium rare and would call that a medium-well done if we‘re being generous. It also was a little bit dry and the meat quality was way below what we tasted the night before in Skarven Biffhuset. This was meat that cost 40€ for 300g. I expect more. The salad bar (which you would need to pay to use) looked kinda not fresh. I sneaked in a pic, see below. On the upside, nothing to complain about the service, but nothing standing out about it as well. The experience led us to not order coffee and desert because we felt to be underwhelmed again. If prices were 30% lower it would be okay, but price:quality ratio is just not worth your money.
It was okay, our waitress was nice, but honestly, nothing special. I have had definetaly better steak in my life before. And their steak knives are simply useless.
The steaks were okay but not overwhelming. The staff was very friendly but the display of the servings could've been better, especially when considering the price. Of course everything's more expensive in Norway than you'd expect (as a European), but we had way better food for the same price the other day.
